Brand Experience Pioneer Stephen Blanchette Joins Chemistry

Toronto, Munich, July 17, 2008 – Leading North American-based brand management consultancy Chemistry announced today that brand strategist and experience pioneer Stephen Blanchette will join the firm as a partner and senior consultant. Stephen has over 18 years of multinational experience both as a client and on the professional services side. 

Mr. Blanchette leaves his position as Director of Brand & Advertising at Madrid-based ONO, Spain’s leading triple-play telecommunications provider, where during the past two years he has been responsible for completely revitalising the brand. That included driving the process for defining the company’s brand essence, market positioning, overall marketing strategic framework, identity guidelines and all customer-facing communications. 

Before ONO, Stephen served as Director of Brand Experience & Brand Planning at Vodafone Czech Republic (formerly Oskar Mobil) in Prague.  In addition to setting the direction for the company’s brand strategy and positioning for all of its stakeholder groups, Stephen and his team created and oversaw the implementation of the company’s far-reaching brand experience platform locally and developed the comprehensive experience management toolkit that is being used by Vodafone operating companies around the world.

In his previous life on the agency side, Stephen spent 13 years at Ogilvy & Mather, where he worked on a broad range of clients and industries in the agency’s Toronto, Los Angeles, Dallas and Miami offices.  During his tenure in Miami, he worked in the role as strategic planner on American Express Latin America, contributing to the highly successful launch of several new products in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Puerto Rico.

Stephen will run Chemistry’s Europe and emerging markets practice from offices in Munich, leading engagements in Europe, the UK and Africa.
