Background:
Canada’s largest specialty retailer needed to define what made it so special to its customers. One of Chemistry’s founding partners employed a battery of investigative research techniques to listen to the customer, and used the data to develop an emotionally compelling brand strategy for this organization. The components of that brand strategy, which form the basis of our Brand Formula™, led to a marketing campaign which resulted in record sales for this retailer.
Approach:
Recognizing the impact of the brand strategy, the senior executives then engaged Chemistry to ‘bring the brand inside’. The initial step took the form of a collaborative strategic review, followed by a cross-functional workshop designed to help the entire senior management team formulate concrete plans for achieving the company’s strategic objectives. All plans were linked back to the Brand Formula so that the various departments would see their efforts through the lens of the brand.
